ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is a methodology to manage and continuously improve the environmental performance of your enterprise.The three most common reasons cited for ISO 14001 registration are:

  • customer requirement,
  • competitive market advantage and
  • cost or risk reduction through improved resource management.

The audit process can identify opportunities for improvement in your management system. When you successfully complete ISO 14001 registration process, you will be registered to a management system environmental standard with worldwide recognition.

About the standard

The term "ISO 14000" refers to a series of international standards relating to EMS. ISO 14001 is the specifications standard used for auditing. Companies successfully completing the registration process are considered "registered." ISO 14001 consists of six sections:

  • General Requirements;

  • Planning;
  • Implementation and Operation;
